“Empowered women empower the world”

March 8

International Women’s Day

Today, International Women’s Day, we put the spotlight on issues such as gender equality reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.

At EPCALM, we recognize our women patients who face a double burden in their leukemia journey. While they battle the disease, they also have to take care of their own families.

Traditional gender roles may mean that women bear the brunt of caregiving, which can disrupt their work and income. And we know that the cost of care can be a burden for the entire household.

As we mark this day, let us celebrate all the women who are trying to hurdle a myriad challenges in their life. Mabuhay kayo!
