The Annual EPCALM General Assembly was conducted on 26 November 2022 at the EPCALM House (EH), attended by the Friends of EPCALM – composed of advocates, families of deceased patients, supporters and partners, as well as regular EPCALM Members, who were eager to personally meet other leukemia warriors after more than two years of only seeing them virtually through video conferences.

Opening the first part of the program were welcome remarks from Engr. Justice Demerre, EPCALM President and CEO, and Dr. Erlyn Demerre, EPCALM Founder and Board Chair. The opening messages were followed by two song numbers rendered by Chorvs Medicvs, a group of medical students and young doctors from the University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center.

A video presentation, “The Year in Review,” was shown, which highlighted EPCALM activities in 2021 and 2022. Included in the video were the monthly Virtual Family Huddles, the weekly Family Bible Fellowship sessions, distribution of the Hope Pack, provision of chemotherapy drugs and maintenance medicines, participation in health and wellness activities of partner NGO, CAREWELL, and daily devotionals on EPCALM social media, among others.

Before the lunch fellowship, EPCALM supporter, Cornel Bongco, performed a magic trick with an insight on the Christian faith.
