EPCALM BOT Meets for FY 2022-2023 Plans

The Board of Trustees (BOT) of the EPCALM Adult Leukemia Foundation of the Philippines conducted its first meeting on 26 November 2022 at the EPCALM House in Quezon City to officially begin Fiscal Year 2022-2023, and map out strategic plans for its program ministries.

The EPCALM Leadership Team is composed of the following: Dr. Erlyn Cabanag-Demerre, Founder and Board Chair; Engr. Justice Demerre, President and Chief Executive Officer; Atty. Elmar Jay Dejaresco, Corporate Secretary; Dr. Priscilla Caguioa, Treasurer; Evelyn Tubo, Auditor; Sunny Ku, PRO; and Mitchell Duran, Executive Director.


Re-elected Ministry Directors are: Bennie Lagos, Spiritual Care; Dr. Catherine Rosales and Dr. Priscilla Caguioa, Medical; and Sunny Ku, Resource Development. The new Program Directors are: Emma Magsino, Outreach; Josephine Aguilar, Partnerships and Affiliations; and Emma Ray Panaguiton and Ma. Cristina Dela Cruz, Advocacy and Public Awareness.

During the BOT meeting, President Demerre presented the major accomplishments of the Foundation for FY 2021-2022, and also outlined the strategic plans and way forward for the incoming fiscal year.

Meanwhile, Executive Director Duran announced the new partnerships forged recently. The new partnerships include the Cancer Resource and Wellness (CAREWELL) Community Foundation, Lymphoma Awareness Philippines Inc., Takeda Healthcare Philippines Inc., and the Max Foundation-Philippines. At the same time, also presented were some pipeline projects, including the strengthening of linkages with new partners; follow-up on the institutional linkage with the Department of Health (DOH); and the renewal of bloodletting programs with hospitals, among other priorities.
