Last October 31, 2022, EPCALM conducted a house blessing of its new home called the "EPCALM House" located at #23 13th Street, New Manila, Barangay Damayang Lagi, Quezon City, Metro Manila. The move is in line with EPCALM's goal to better serve its serviced patients and their families, through providing a "place of solace" for them. EPCALM will also be moving its office to this new home, from its former office located at Suite 341, St. Lukes Medical Center (SLMC) Medical Art Building (MAB), E. Rodriguez Ave., Quezon City.
With this new house, EPCALM will be able to hold its regular Family Huddles (Note: to be held every other month starting February 2023); conduct weekly activities (i.e. arts and crafts); provide limited temporary housing for patients and their families from the province while they are undergoing medical treatment in Manila and/or while processing their medical documents; or just have a place that patients and their families can go to as a "haven of rest".
The House blessing was attended by EPCALM's Board of Trustees (BOT), EPCALM members and was officiated by Rev. Carlos Dela Cruz, Senior Pastor of the Ellinwood Malate Church (EMC). EMC is a partner church of EPCALM. See pictures of the house blessing below:
