In solidarity with patient groups that provide programs and allied services to blood cancer patients in the Philippines, the EPCALM Foundation joins member-organizations of the Blood Cancer Alliance of the Philippines in commemorating Blood Cancer Awareness Month this September 2024.
EPCALM is a Founding Member of the Alliance.
The advocacy calendar highlights EPCALM-led advocacy events, such as the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on 19 September between the Foundation and the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital - toward promoting universal access to healthcare; the fundraising concert of the Apo Hiking Society and Leah Navarro on 24 September; and the Family Huddle for serviced patients and their families on 28 September.
Other activities include a virtual gathering of lymphoma patients, survivors and their loved ones; a voluntary Blood Drive; the launch of MyeSPEAK, a support group for myeloma patients; a virtual forum for young adult blood cancer patients and survivors sharing their personal stories; a mutational analysis for CML patients toward helping doctors better manage the disease; and a blood cancer patient forum, among others.
