The EPCALM Foundation met recently with key officials of the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital (HCCH) in Bicutan, Taguig City to explore areas of collaboration for patient-centric healthcare of the Foundation’s serviced adult leukemia patients.
The HCCH is the first comprehensive cancer care hospital in the Philippines. It supports the implementation of the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA, Republic Act No. 11215).
Possible areas of partnership include: Quality of Life, which provides holistic clinical management from palliative and hospice care, pain control, nutrition management, rehabilitation, psychosocial treatments and survivorship; enhanced patient experience; and patient navigation, among other priorities.
According to Dr. Manuel Francisco Roxas, HCCH Medical Director, HCCH has partnered with leading global oncology service providers to ensure high standards of cancer care delivery in the country. He was joined by his Team – Dr. Clariza Santos, Hematologic Oncology Head; Dr. Pat Ong, Strategy and External Affairs Officer; Robbie Posadas, Clinical Program and Centers of Excellence Business Head; and Selena Tricia Reyes, Marketing Manager.
Representing EPCALM were the following: Dr. Erlyn Cabanag Demerre, Founder and Board Chair; Engr.
