Held at the Sinturis Farm in San Juan, Batangas, the one-day planning session sought to develop and enhance EPCALM’s organizational strategies – to strengthen its capacity to successfully adapt to change on an ongoing basis, using the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) framework as guide.

In attendance were the Directors of the three Service Arms/ Ministries (Spiritual Care, Medical, and Financial), as well as the Heads of the supporting Programs (Outreach; Partnerships and Affiliations; and Advocacy and Public Awareness), and the Executive Director. Also on hand to provide institutional guidance were Dr. Erlyn Demerre, EPCALM Founder and Board Chair; Engr. Justice Demerre, EPCALM President and Chief Executive Officer.

Among the outputs of the workshop included the key organizational identity statement, enhanced business model and strategy screen, and Action Plans for the immediate and intermediate next steps. The EPCALM Leadership Team for FY 2022-23 will continue to refine and enhance the priority programs and services to ensure that these are aligned with the Foundation’s vision and mission.

The second day was spent to spiritually invigorate the attendees, equipping the foundation directors with the needed tools to serve the leukemia patients and their families better.
