EPCALM Goodwill Ambassador, Martin Nievera, invites you to the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which will have two world-class venues – the World Trade Center Manila and the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, happening on 4-7 April 2024, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Now on its 19th year, this year’s edition of the country’s premier automobile show highlights a toy car charity drive for EPCALM Foundation. MIAS Organizer, Alvin Uy, said this fundraiser is in partnership with Hot Wheels Philippines. Simply donate your old plastic or die-cast toy cars in good condition at the EPCALM Booth (Booth No. L6, near the WTC Main Entrance) to get a chance to win over P100,000 in raffle prizes, including Hot Wheels play sets, and Sonax, Index Automotive and Liqui Moly car care sets, among others.
If you have no toy car to donate, you may purchase a toy car at the EPCALM Booth worth only P100 each. You can donate the toy car for a chance to win bigger raffle prizes. All proceeds from the toy car sales will go to the EPCALM Foundation, for its adult leukemia patients and their families. At the same time, the donated toy cars will be turned over to the children beneficiaries of Bahay Aruga.
Another exciting feature at MIAS 2024 is the live wrap by Vinyl Frog Philippines of a classic Mini Cooper in orange, the advocacy color of leukemia – through the efforts of Justin Uy.
The MIAS-EPCALM collaboration started about nine years ago, through Wellington C. Soong and Danny Isla, who graciously lent EPCALM their orange sports cars in MIAS events, with the initiative of Sunny Ku, EPCALM Director for Resource Development.
According to MIAS top honcho, Alvin Uy, MIAS 2024 continues to bridge the future, and introduce innovations in the country’s automobile industry. “It is time to give back,” said Alvin, a leukemia survivor.
