The leukemia journey of Michael S. Matias, 35, began when he was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) in 2018. It was physically, financially, and emotionally draining.

 

However, it made him stronger in many ways, knowing that he had to live for his family. He fought back, and pushed through, with the unwavering and unconditional support of his family.

 

His story is proof that despite many challenges, healing is possible. “Never give up; face all adversities head on!”
