Patient Journals Lessons Learned Series - No. 11

Writer: EPCALMEPCALM

Michael Eli B. Tan, 51, a post-bone marrow transplantation (BMT) patient diagnosed in October 2020 with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), shares the importance of community support, trust in doctors, and spiritual care in his leukemia journey.

While it is vital to follow doctors’ advice, he also encourages others in similar circumstances to seek empathy from fellow patients. His story is a testament to the power of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
