Diagnosed in 2011 with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), Marilyn Dela Cruz Umali, 50, has faced many challenges. She has remained strong despite her circumstances – with God's direction, coupled with her family's love.
Through her own initiative, Marilyn has accessed medical care, including treatment and oral chemotherapy medicines, from EPCALM, as well as assistance extended by other public institutions and non-government organizations.
Marilyn's unwavering spirit and resolve have inspired others battling leukemia to always be thankful and never give up their fight against the disease.
